Contemporary Countryside Retreat

I think these photos are on your Barney's CB Gardens Folder ok.
There are 3 very distinct before, during and after shots.
Afton Ward 004 The Female Garden
An attractive, flower-filled sheltered space with opportunities to sit or walk among the plantings.
Carved sets, a phoenix mosaic and contemporary sculptures help to lend a dynamism to the garden
all year round.
Afton Ward 006
This unforgiving, steeply sloping site now provides a sheltered safe space for eating and relaxation.
Once, the newly planted climbers and espaliers clothe tghe fences it will feel even more enclosed and verdant.
Afton Ward 012 The Male Garden
As well as the attractive greenhouse at its heart, a series of raised beds at different heights have been created to allow for gardening activity.
Espalier fruit trees and cane fruit will soon clothe the fences and provide fruit for consumption.
NB Not sure what to call this garden. Some thoughts: Large public commission, Therapeutic Garden, Healing Garden, Ornamental Fruit and Vegetable Garden ( we could use the pictures of the Male garden to create another seperate category actually - what do you think?)

Sedum planting Mass planting of Sedums between red brick wall. A classic drought resistant planting.
