Garden Design - a Prairie Planting

Prairie Plantings are fairly new to UK gardens but are becoming increasingly
popular. Defined by the use of grasses and wind/drought tolerant plants
they are a good option for large exposed gardens where the tall grasses
provide height and movement with a wonderful ability to catch the morning
and evening sunlight.
- Costs: mainly plants but in a large garden this can mount up.
- Maintenance: low
- Advantages: require little watering, low maintenance and lovely in
low light on summer evenings
- Disadvantages: needs a large area
